Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"My second time here. Overall the food was sumpticious. We ordered their buffet which was RM 29.00 per person. The food tallied with the price. The only let down was the spicy brinjal. My most favourite was the Aloo tikki chaat & mushroom dum masala. I would come here again."
"This spot is an absolute gem for anyone craving a fantastic dining experience without breaking the bank. The prices are incredibly affordable, making it a go-to for budget-friendly meals that never compromise on quality. But what truly sets this place apart is its atmosphere—cozy, vibrant, and brimming with charm. Whether it’s the warm lighting, the rustic decor, or the friendly hum of conversation, you instantly feel welcome the moment you walk in. Now, let’s talk about the food—it’s nothing short of amazing. Every dish I’ve tried bursts with flavor, from the perfectly seasoned entrees to the mouthwatering desserts. The chefs clearly prioritize freshness and creativity, turning simple ingredients into something extraordinary. I’m especially obsessed with their [specific dish if applicable, e.g., ‘garlic butter shrimp’ or ‘homemade tiramisu’], which is consistently cooked to perfection. Combining value, a delightful ambiance, and top-tier cuisine, this place has become my happy corner. Highly recommend it for casual hangouts, date nights, or anytime you want a meal that feels like a treat without the guilt on your wallet!"
"It’s definitely a good place to have a tummy filled meal Prices is surely very economical Less than $20 ringgit for a buffet meal Service was really friendly and clean The only one thing I feel over priced must be the drink But then again, with the buffet price, you need to let the business run profit isn’t it They provide unlimited White or briyani rice Veggies Sample size of curry chicken Tandoori chicken Fish (stingray cubes) Mutton They even provide naan It’s really recommend for big eaters!!!"
"I recently visited The Banana Leaf Kitchen at Eko Botani and had a very enjoyable meal. The food was delicious, with rich flavours and well-balanced spices that made every dish satisfying. The Prawns Ghee Roast is a definite must-try, cooked perfectly with a rich, aromatic gravy that stands out as a signature dish. The service was exceptional as well, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The only area that could be improved is the hygiene at the washbasin, which did not match the otherwise high standards of the restaurant. With some attention to cleanliness there, this place would be close to perfect. Overall, still a great spot for banana leaf rice, and I would be happy to return."
"Like the idea of small portions as can try many different dishes, especially when I’m not a big eater. Foods are good, specially like the soup (first thought is Tomyam soup but is not). Service staffs are friendly, ambience is good. Worth the trip."
"I highly recommend dining at this restaurant! The service is excellent The dining environment is comfortable and clean The food is also very good It's definitely worth bringing a lot of relatives and friends, or a couple, for a great dining experience"
"In the daytime it is a banana leaf style buffet, preselected dishes for you to try in unlimited quantities. Very good to try new things as there may be dishes you otherwise would not have the thought to order, but are surprisingly good. After 4pm it is a more extensive menu, with many more dishes to choose from and made fresh for each order. The second option is slightly more expensive, but I feel both have their merits. Been to both and I must say, I’ve always been very satisfied with the food and service. Super warm hospitality, they always make sure you are enjoying the meal. Been here multiple times and will definitely be back many more times. Highly recommended to come down and have a meal here."
"Had dinner with the family at The Banana Leaf Kitchen at Eko Botani, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable introduction to Indian cuisine. Since we weren’t very familiar with the dishes, the friendly server guided us through some recommendations, and everything we tried was spot on. The flavors were rich and authentic, with just the right balance of spices, and the portions were generous — perfect for sharing family-style. The ambience was casual and welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. A great spot for anyone looking to explore Indian food without feeling overwhelmed, especially with helpful staff guiding you through the menu."
